An analyst who will actively interact with the BI analyst, develop data sources for Tableau dashboards, collaborate with the development team in creating datamarts, and actively participate in other stages of dashboard creation: interviewing the client, wireframing, dashboard development, collecting feedback, and writing documentation. Job Responsibilities

  • preparing data sources for dashboards: drawing data schema, preparing SQL queries in close collaboration with another BI analyst and analytical developer, setting tasks for datamart deployments, describing and composing business checks for datamarts;
  • testing dashboards developed by another BI analyst for data quality and functional correctness, collecting feedback from business clients, writing user and developer documentation;
  • developing dashboards from scratch in collaboration with another BI analyst, updating existing company dashboards according to customer business requirements;
  • conducting client interviews, wireframing dashboards, creating specifications for interactive tools.

Examples of projects you will work on:

  • preparing data sources for the Offline Event dashboard, consisting of two different custom SQL with different granularity, connecting them using relationships in Tableau;
  • testing the B2B Sales Process dashboard for accuracy and compliance; functionality of the business requirements, data verification for discrepancies;
  • development of a B2B Event tool based on an existing wireframe.

Key Qualifications

  • knowledge of SQL, writing queries for use as data sources for Tableau dashboards, understanding the logic of different methods of combining tables and data sources within Tableau (Relationships, Joins, Unions, Data Blending);
  • experience with Tableau (data aggregation, LOD expressions, dashboard design, use of parameters/sets, set/parameter/filter actions);
  • basic understanding of data visualization principles;
  • conversational and written English at a B2 level;
  • desire to develop, learn new things, and take on responsibility;
  • curiosity and persistence.

Would be a plus:

  • experience in query optimization;
  • understanding of user interface design principles.
