Data Engineering Manager

We are looking for a Data Engineering Manager for our Analytical Department.

Job Responsibilities

  • planning and participating in hiring processes for your teams
  • assistance in adaptation for newcomers.
  • mentoring, building a career path and assistance in developing new qualities necessary for further growth.
  • conducting regular 1-2-1 meetings.
  • assessing the workload of teams to prevent shortages or severe oversupply of resources.
  • formation of the structure and composition of teams, focusing on efficiency and business goals.
 
  • unification of the stack and development tools within the analytics department;
  • construction and development of reliable data infrastructure;
  • proactive participation in the strategic development of the data platform in the company, choice of approaches and technologies used;
  • achieving a balance between solving business problems and technical problems.


     
  • building transparent communication between teams;
  • process optimization for cross-team tasks;
  • planning and budgeting;
  • working on maintaining and improving team performance metrics;
  • generating quick feedback between product and technology teams.

Key Qualifications

  • 4 years of experience in a leadership position;
  • experience managing teams of 15 people or more;
  • experience in the position of Team Lead, Engineering Manager;
  • at least 5 years of experience in the design/development of data processing systems;
  • good knowledge of a modern data stack: airflow, s3, hdfs, spark, columnar database, python, dbt etc.
  • high level of communication skills.
