Lead QA Engineer for Hotcore

Hotcore implements the retrieval of rates from an external service, their mixing, pricing, and calculations for taxes, loyalty, commissions, margins, cancellation policies, and delivery of these rates to the front end. Additionally, the Hotcore team is responsible for configuring the availability of various rates depending on the sales channel.

Job Responsibilities

Ensuring testing efforts in coordination with the PM team / Team Lead;
Monitoring compliance with early testing stages and analyzing requirements for completeness and accuracy;
Participating in the development of functionality within the team;
Estimating time for developing scenarios and conducting testing;
Developing and updating the testing strategy, improving QA/QC processes, and standardizing repetitive processes;
Controlling the scope of tasks for test development, analyzing and optimizing test coverage on the project;
Ensuring, controlling, and advancing test automation;
Maintaining a knowledge base;
Distributing tasks and monitoring their completion among QAs in the team;
Showing initiative in planning sprints, daily meetings, demos, and retrospectives;
Controlling QA processes within the team;
Enhancing the technical skills of QAs in the team and conducting interviews for the team.

Key Qualifications

Over 5 years of experience in testing, with at least 2 years in a lead position;
Experience managing a QA team of at least 3 people;
Strong knowledge of testing theory and methodologies;
Understanding of the software development lifecycle, various development methodologies, and the role of testing in the process;
Understanding of client-server architecture and the principles of web applications;
Experience working with REST API, gRPC, Kafka;
Experience in building and maintaining QA processes, and working with testing metrics;
Experience in creating and maintaining test documentation (test cases, checklists, instructions);
Knowledge of test design techniques and methods for optimizing test coverage;
Excellent communication and self-organization skills;
Ability to analyze tasks and explain complex concepts in simple terms;
Experience working in agile teams;
Experience in estimating, distributing, and tracking testing tasks;
Ability to work in a team, take responsibility, and make decisions.
