Analytics/

Marketing analyst (Performance)

Emerging Travel Group is a global travel-tech company whose brands have been operating in over 220 source markets since 2010. We specialize in developing advanced online booking platforms for all types of clients — from individual tourists to travel agents and companies organizing business trips. Our solutions empower hoteliers to effortlessly showcase their accommodations, boosting visibility and attracting a broader audience.

Our mission is to create, distribute, and operate the most convenient travel products. We constantly innovate and break the rules of the highly complex travel industry to make travel more widely available for individuals, more rewarding for professionals, and simpler for everyone.

We are looking for someone who can take over the performance analytics direction in the B2B segment of our company. For a long time, the primary "source" of registrations in our products was the sales team. A few years ago, we started experimenting with lead generation using digital tools (such as contextual advertising, social media targeting, etc.), and it has begun to yield results—this is now one of the main channels for attracting new partners.

The marketing team is currently actively launching campaigns in new international markets, optimizing and localizing existing campaigns, and participating in the improvement of the sales process (registration forms, lead processing, etc.). They need an analyst’s support in all these areas.

Job Responsibilities

In the first three months:

  • Understand how our business operates—what Russian and international brands represent, get acquainted with stakeholders, and learn about the work of other analytics teams.
  • Analyze the current state of marketing analytics—what metrics we track when evaluating campaign effectiveness and what tools are in development.
  • Dive deeper into the data through various ad-hoc requests to understand its specifics.

After onboarding into the processes:

  • Participate in refining advertising campaign evaluation models—we aim to build a more accurate unit economics model, considering all additional costs (e.g., the cost of the management team processing registrations).
  • Contribute to the development of new attribution models and research traffic channel chains—B2B and B2C models will be entirely different.
  • Develop predictive models for partner cohort behavior to better understand which international markets allow for faster campaign scaling.
  • Build dashboards and alert systems, track metric behavior—from data collection to presentation and user training on new tools.
  • Maintain data integrity within our scope. The DWH team provides data storage and updates, but ensuring consistency is the responsibility of our analytics team. We primarily focus on internal statistics, but it’s crucial that our data does not drastically differ from external tracking systems.
  • Evaluate various marketing experiments: design, validation, timelines, and results.

Key Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong SQL skills – you’ll need to work with complex queries extensively. It’s great if you know how to retrieve the necessary data while minimizing server load. :)
  • Experience with BI systems. Our advertising campaign dashboards are built in Tableau—it would be a big plus if you can immediately take on the support and improvement of marketing tools.
  • Critical thinking is your habit, and you back everything with data. You always strive to understand the real value of a task.
  • Familiarity with marketing principles and key metrics.
  • Ability to establish effective communication with members of other teams.
  • English proficiency at an intermediate level (B1).

We Offer You

  • Exciting projects: We create products for travelers, travel agents, and hoteliers worldwide.
  • Complete flexibility to achieve results: Flexible schedule, remote work, or office—you decide where and when to work.
  • Innovative approach and thirst for new ideas: For example, we solve some tasks using AI.
  • Ostrovok! Tech community: We host meetups, hackathons, participate in conferences, and support even the boldest ideas.
  • Professional development: We help employees speak at conferences—from submitting applications to preparing presentations.
  • Employee well-being: From the first month, our employees receive private health insurance (DMS) and discounts on the “Yasno” mental health service.
  • Tailored onboarding and training programs, as well as soft skills and leadership development designed for each employee individually.
  • Partial reimbursement for external training and conferences.
  • English language learning: Corporate group classes, conversation clubs, and discounts on Skyeng courses.
  • Corporate rates on hotels and other travel services—so our employees can travel more often.
  • Ostrovok is an accredited IT company.
